Ben's Procedure Successful

Ben's Procedure Successful

I want to thank you for praying for me. A few days ago, I had my procedure to clear out a large troublesome kidney stone. According to the doctor, the procedure was successful. Pieces of the broken up stone will continue to pass over the next 4 weeks so it is possible for more pain to come and go, but this is normal. I don't feel exactly "normal" yet, but I did NOT have to have a stent placed so there should be no further procedures required. I should feel a little bit better each day.

They did have to intubate me (tube through the vocal folds) so my voice is sore and I can't sing yet. I asked for the smallest tube possible and they granted my request so I'm grateful for that. I also have a head cold now but I'll take that any day over a kidney stone! We begin meetings on Sunday, so my prayer is now that my voice would be ready to go by then. I believe it will be.

Some of you may remember that this is my second stone. I am relatively certain I know what caused this one and how to avoid them in the future. I actually followed protocols very well for several years after my last one but I had let down my guard over the last 6 months. I'll never do that again.

Thank you for your prayers for me. I look forward to being able to serve the Lord

We are praising God for your recovery !! Just wondering what the measures were that you had taken in the past to avoid the stones….. I have a dear friend currently battling the same issue. In their case stents were placed and very painful. Could you share what you did that kept you free of this problem before ? So very grateful for any help.
