My Musical Style - Defined and Described

Defined: Creative within biblical boundaries.

Described:

My musical style is a distinctive blend of a cappella and traditional Christian music, rooted in creativity without compromising on conservative values. It draws from timeless, harmonious arrangements while avoiding contemporary influences such as rock or pop beats. My music seeks to uplift, inspire, and provide a reverent listening experience, focusing on Scripture-based themes and pure, God-honoring expression. Each piece is thoughtfully composed to reflect both musical excellence and theological soundness, presenting something innovative within the context of traditional Christian music. While I’m open to pushing the limits of tradition, I remain firmly grounded in conservative values.

I am unafraid to explore rich harmonies and dramatic musical elements, believing that depth in music can enhance the listener’s experience without detracting from its sacred purpose. While entertainment is not my primary goal, I do not believe it is wrong for music to be enjoyable. I seek to create music that is both meaningful and aesthetically pleasing, reflecting the beauty and creativity of God's design. I desire to create music that reflects everything God is and nothing that He isn't.

I do not cling to the trends or quirks of any particular decade, nor do I allow myself to be sidetracked by minor issues or the preferences of select gatekeepers. However, I am equally resolute in rejecting anything that degrades the sanctity of Christian music. My aim is to maintain a balance of creative integrity and unwavering standards, avoiding the pitfalls of accepting superficial or unworthy imitations of sacred music.
